Westview offers a comprehensive program with college preparation and vocational offerings. Advanced Placement or Honors courses are offered in english, math, science, social studies, and art. Courses that have a college credit option are offered in social studies, math, and language arts. Westview students have four, 85-minute periods per day. Classes meet on an odd/even schedule. All odd numbered periods meet one day ("A" Days) and all even periods meet the next ("B" Days). Students have an Access Tutorial period every other day during which time they have a reading time, announcements, and a study time with access to the library, technology and teachers. Those 11th and 12th graders who have a GPA of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 GPA scale have OPEN AT in which additional opportunities are available. The Westview school year consists of two semesters, 18 weeks each.
